Same-Day Hearing Aid Service in McAllen
If your hearing aid stops working, you do not need an appointment. Walk in Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, and we will take a look.
What is same-day hearing aid service?
Mid Valley Hearing Technologies accepts walk-ins for hearing aid problems Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at 3711 N 10th St Suite 111 in McAllen. Cleaning, filter and dome replacement, and many in-house repairs are handled the same day. Same-day service is included in both care plans, valued at $400 per year.
A person who cannot hear cannot use the phone, cannot follow a doctor’s appointment, and cannot safely have a conversation about anything that matters. Treating a non-working hearing aid as a routine scheduling item gets this wrong.
Most of what walks through the door is fixable in under half an hour: a blocked filter, a clogged receiver, a dome that has come off in the ear, corroded contacts, a program that got knocked into the wrong setting. None of that needs an appointment three weeks out.

What happens during the visit?
Call, or just come
A phone call sometimes saves you the trip. Sometimes it does not, and then you come in.
To the repair bench
Listening check and inspection, usually within a few minutes of arriving.
Fixed, or a clear next step
Most things are sorted the same visit. If it needs the factory, you hear that immediately.
Back in your ear before you leave
Checked and verified before you leave.
Try this before you drive over
Change the battery or fully charge it. Swap the wax filter if you have spares. Take the dome off and check nothing is lodged in the receiver port. Make sure the volume has not been knocked down and the program has not been switched. That is four things, they cost nothing, and they solve a good share of "dead" hearing aids. If none of it works, come in.
Same-Day Service & Walk-Ins: questions we get asked
Not for hearing aid service. Walk in Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. Diagnostic hearing tests do need an appointment because they take an hour.
Cleaning, filters and adjustments are included on both care plans. Outside a plan it depends on what is wrong, and you are quoted before anything is done. Care plans value walk-in access at $400 a year.
Leave a message at (956) 576-3593. After-hours calls come through to Jordan directly. Do not put a wet hearing aid in the oven or microwave while you wait; take the battery out, leave the door open, and bring it in when we open.
Yes. That is a large part of what walk-in service is for, particularly for people whose original clinic closed or who bought online with nobody local to help.
