Contracted benefit network
TruHearing Provider in McAllen, TX
Mid Valley Hearing Technologies is a contracted TruHearing provider. If your plan routes its hearing benefit through TruHearing, you can use it here, with a local provider.
What TruHearing is
TruHearing is one of the largest hearing-benefit administrators in the country, with something in the region of 8,800 provider locations and partnerships with more than eighty insurance plans. It does not insure you; it manages the hearing part of a benefit your plan already provides.
In practice that means your plan gives you a hearing allowance, TruHearing sets the pricing and the device menu, and you pick a contracted provider to do the actual testing and fitting. We are one of those providers.

Good to know about the device menu
TruHearing is owned by WS Audiology, the parent company of Widex and Signia, and its menu leans toward those brands plus TruHearing-labeled devices. Widex and Signia are excellent, and we fit both. If a device outside the benefit menu may suit you better, we will go over it and what it would cost, and the choice is yours.

TruHearing: questions we get asked
Check your plan documents for a hearing aid benefit, or call the member services number on your insurance card and ask which network administers it. You are also welcome to bring the card to us and we will verify it for you at no charge and with no obligation.
Not necessarily, but the menu leans that way because TruHearing is owned by their parent company. We fit seven brands, so Jordan can also go over options outside the menu and what they would cost.
Coverage varies by plan. Many TruHearing plans include a covered hearing exam; some do not. We will confirm your specific benefit before you are charged for anything.
We work with TruHearing as a contracted provider. We do not bill medical insurance directly.
Benefit coverage is generally for device purchases rather than ongoing service. Repairs, cleaning and adjustments here are handled either per visit or through one of our care plans, whichever works out better for you.
