Phonak Hearing Aids in McAllen, TX
Phonak is the Swiss end of Sonova, and it has the strongest track record of any manufacturer on the single hardest problem in hearing: following one voice in a noisy room.
Who Phonak are
Phonak has built its reputation on speech-in-noise performance and on the Roger system, a family of remote microphones that a speaker wears or that sits on a table, streaming their voice directly into your hearing aids. For anyone who struggles specifically in restaurants, meetings, church or the car, Roger is often the single biggest improvement available, and it is not something a hearing aid alone can replicate.
The Audéo RIC family is their volume product and covers most losses. They also make some of the highest-power devices on the market for severe and profound hearing loss.

What Phonak is good at
- Speech-in-noise processingConsistently among the strongest, which lines up with what QuickSIN testing usually reveals as the real complaint.
- Roger remote microphonesA separate accessory system that streams a talker’s voice straight to your aids. Frequently transformative for restaurants and group settings.
- Universal Bluetooth connectivityDirect streaming to both iPhone and Android, plus TV and phone-call streaming.
- Power devices for severe lossA real strength, because not every manufacturer covers the top end well.
What we do with Phonak at Mid Valley
We fit and program the current Phonak range, and repair Phonak aids in-house wherever the fault allows. Bring one bought elsewhere and we will service it the same as one bought here. For ringing in the ears, Tinnitus Balance adds sound therapy with white and pink noise options.
Good to know: Phonak’s parent, Sonova, also manufactures Relate, the house brand pushed by UnitedHealthcare Hearing, and owns Unitron. If you are being offered a Relate device, ask us what the Phonak equivalent is; it is a conversation worth having.
